Joseph J. Gilbody – Founder & Chief Executive Officer
After spending nearly twenty years working in various roles within Information Technology, Joe became heavily involved in the management of an emerging technology called Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with companies such as Rowenta, Inc. and the Stride Rite Corporation. It was through this experience that Joe realized the value of inter company data exchanges, and saw the potential in forming his own company.
In 1994, Joe took little more than that vision to start a one-person EDI / E-commerce staffing and consulting company from the front porch of his home. Today, EDI Specialists owns a twenty thousand square foot office building in Raynham, Massachusetts. We have evolved into a full service e-commerce company with Regional Managers in offices in three states, and consultants working for clients across the US. EDI Specialists works with over 30% of the Fortune 1000 companies, and continues to expand with revenue growth of over 40% in the last three years.
Wayne Marshall – Vice President, Professional Services
Wayne is currently Vice President of Professional Services at EDI Specialists, Inc. Wayne’s responsibilities include strategy development, new business development, sales, marketing, consulting, and managing. Wayne manages key consulting practices and growth areas for EDI Specialists including Healthcare, Sterling Integrator, Microsoft BizTalk and Enterprise Application Integration Practices, working closely with clients and consultants alike. Wayne’s training and background as a Systems Analyst has been invaluable.
Wayne is considered a leader in the field of EC/EDI. He has authored articles; participated in training videos and onsite client training; spoken at conferences: and founded the New England Electronic Commerce Users’ Group, the largest group of its kind in the U.S. He has worked with a variety of industries and companies of all sizes for 20 years. His knowledge of the vendor community, EC/EDI/EAI software tools and industry trends also contributes to his unique qualifications. Representing EDI Specialists in the ASC X12 standards organization, Wayne is currently a member of the Board of Directors for DISA, X12’s secretariat. Wayne has also served as EDI Specialists’ representative to various organizations such the Vendor Compliance Federation (VCF), Industrial Supply Association (ISA) and others. Prior to joining EDI Specialists, Wayne was employed for 23 years at Polaroid Corporation where he managed their worldwide EC/EDI program.
During his tenure at Polaroid, Wayne held several roles encompassing traditional IT activities such as data base design; programming; software evaluation; developing and maintaining production systems; etc. Wayne has conducted assessments for manufacturers; food and consumer goods companies; retailers; utilities; transportation and logistics related firms; distributors of electronics and healthcare products; and banks. Wayne graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern University with a BSBA and a concentration in Management Information Systems.
Shashi Raina – Practice Manager
Shashi’s area of expertise is BPAI (Business Processes Automation and Integration). He has worked with multiple technologies across multiple domains, and his primary specialization is in Microsoft technologies. He has over 12 years of experience in working with connected system technologies. His role at EDI Specialists includes, but is not limited to, providing leadership and vision, project management, and system architecture. Shashi currently holds the following certifications: PMP (Project Management), MCTS (Biztalk) and SOA. Shashi earned his MBA in Information Systems from State University of New York at Albany.
Andrew Oliver – Technical Recruiting Manager
Andrew Oliver is the current Recruiting Manager at EDI Specialists, Inc. Andy has over 14 years of recruiting experience and has worked for EDI Specialists, Inc for the past 12 years. He has recruited on a variety of positions from contract to permanent within a variety of industries and technologies. Predominantly most of his recruitment experience has been working in the Southeast region of the US and has helped work with the recruiting team at EDI Specialists, Inc to grow and utilize the latest technology and trends in the recruiting industry. He is a graduate of UMass Dartmouth with a degree in marketing.
Aron Gilbody – National Account Manager
As National Account Manager for EDI Specialists, Inc., Aron provides Consulting and Staffing services with regard to EDI, eCommerce, ERP, EAI, IT, Supply Chain, BizTalk, SI/GIS, and Healthcare/HIPAA. With previous experience in outside sales and business development roles, Aron is also responsible for managing existing accounts, new business development, contract negotiation, recruiting, outside sales, attending conferences & tradeshows on behalf of EDI Specialists, Inc.
Gretchen Ponte – Technical Resource Manager
Gretchen Ponte is a Technical Resource Manager at EDI Specialists, Inc. She began her career in the non-profit sector, moving into the staffing industry eight years ago. She has worked for EDI Specialists, Inc. for the past seven and a half years primarily working on EDI and IT contract and permanent positions in the Tri-state area spanning various industries. Gretchen is a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology.
Adam Barron – Technical Resource Manager
Adam Barron is a Technical Resource Manager for EDI Specialists. His specialty is working with professionals with expertise in general IT. He has been primarily focused on filling permanent positions but also deals with some contract work for strong candidates with top clients. Prior to that, Adam served as a Business Development Representative. He graduated from UMass Amherst with his Bachelors Degree
Barbara Feldman – Corporate Account Manager
Barbara is a Corporate Account Manager at EDI Specialists – Key IT. She works with New England based companies providing consulting and perm staffing services in the areas of EDI, Supply Chain, and Information Technology.
She started her career working for GE Information Services and became responsible for growing their EDI practice in North America. She then joined Fidelity Investments and was chartered with automating their manual supply chain practices by implementing EDI and online requisitioning throughout Fidelity. Barbara has also worked as an Account Manager at Sun Microsystems and Microsoft. She currently serves as a Board of Director Member of the New England Electronic Commerce User Group Association (NEECOM).
